Making the choice Monday

It is a truth universally acknowledged that life will fuck you up along the way.  There will come choices that you will have to make even though they are the hardest thing in the world – and I’m not just talking about a round of ‘fuck marry kill’.  I’m talking uni or not? Break up with them or not?  Live abroad for a year or risk messing up your degree?  Stay friends with the backstabbing bitch or not?

There will be countless sleepless nights and caffeine-fuelled days ahead of you whether you like it or not.  With that in mind, I’ve decided to tackle a few of these choices right here in this blog.  Every Monday, there will be a round of…

(Note the apocalyptic sky)

Anyway, to take the pressure off life (isn’t that what blogs are for?), these will be both thought-provoking and FUN!

So, first one up is:

WOULD YOU RATHER HAVE 1 WISH GRANTED TOMORROW OR 3 WISHES GRANTED 10 YEARS FROM NOW?

This is a tricky one for me – obviously I want to say one wish tomorrow.  I have had the same wish saved up for years, wished on each 11:11, and for it to be granted would truly change my life for the better.  In fact, just the other night I had a dream that I asked a genie for it, and he refused – as did the several other genies I demanded that he summon.  I was so upset that I woke up!

On the other hand, 3 wishes is better than one, right?  And you could have them banked for a decade – winning the jackpot on the lottery for instance –  because you might need that money 10 years from now.  But you also need that money now!

On yet another hand, you might not need those wishes now.  You might be there in 10 years wishing you’d changed your life with that one wish earlier.  After all, you can’t get those years back – and winning the lottery is something you can always work towards.

Does the wishing for more wishes rule work here or?

What do you guys think?

Hope you’re all ok out there!
