ft What I’m Pinning Wednesday
Lent has really rolled around quickly this year! I didn’t realise it was Shrove Tuesday until it was already here and then gone again – it’s the first time in five years of uni that I haven’t celebrated. I even made pancakes (crêpes really) on my year abroad, and we used my housemate’s waffle maker last year. Ah well.
It’s time to decide what to give up for 40 days and nights this year. I have basically been comfort eating choc ices this uni year because they’re £1 for 8 and remind me of more comforting times in my childhood. Ah, nostalgia. However, these are what I’m going to give up this year. I never used to eat pudding after every meal but I have started to because of the ice cream, and it’s not good. I’m also going to start using My Fitness Pal again, because I dropped off the wagon and that isn’t good either. Here’s hoping!
Something else I’ve started to do this week is pull with coconut oil. It’s meant to be extremely healthy, so I’m going to try to keep that up for Lent too. Let’s see how this goes! I might do a blog post about it in a few weeks if you guys are interested. What are you giving up/taking up for Lent this year?
Something that I should probably give up too is social media because I’m kind of obsessed. I’ve been on a bit of a pinning spree this week, so my recent 5 pins changed about five times today alone! Without any further ado, here is what I have been pinning this week.
- This adorable outfit
I love putting outfits together on Polyvore, and I love seeing what other people have created! The colours in this ensemble are beautiful – I need this bag! I’d perhaps swap the jeans for skinnies though. Pin it here.
- This sausage-stuffed bread
This bread looks absolutely gorgeous and I cannot wait to give it a go. Maybe it will turn up on Foodie Fridays as a review some time… Pin it here.
- These super-cute bralet tops
I pinned these to my weight-loss inspiration board – I would love to be able to wear one of these with a high-waisted skirt! They’re so nice! Pin them here.
- This hidden surprise cake
I’ve seen a lot of these piñata-style cakes and I really want to bake one at some point. Another one you might see on Foodie Fridays soon! Pin it here.
- This living room
I love this style so much – the natural wood, the neutral colours, the candles… I could see this with a contrasting patchwork throw and myself with my kindle and a coffee on that sofa! Pin it here.
What have you guys been pinning lately? You can follow me here.
Hope everyone’s ok out there!
