So yeah, if you’re following me on Instagram and Twitter, you’ll know that I saw Beyoncé at the weekend with my friends from my year abroad. It was seriously a life changing experience and I feel like I’ve been reborn.
Anyway, I won’t go on about that because I’m fairly sure people are getting sick of me
but I saw my Queen and I am forever changed so MOVING ON.
My blog is officially a year old! My giveaway for it ended last week, so a MAC lipstick is winging its way to Rachel who won it. Thank you to everyone who entered! I could tell I reached a milestone because some randomer on twitter sent me my first dick pic DM, quickly followed by another.
My dissertation is pretty much killing me, so blog posts have been sparse. That said, I am kickstarting July with another goals post, seeing as May’s went down so well. I was going to do one for June too but June disappeared??? Where did it go??? How is it July already???
So yeah, all I want to do at the moment is
go back to Wembley live in a bookshop with a flat white or 3 and just not think for a while. but sadly life goes on, and I have to actually DO THINGS with my life. Scary stuff. Posts like this are actually great for making me stay focused. My life revolves around making lists for things, so having one that everyone can see is good because I feel bad when I don’t tick them off.
SO, here are 5 things that I want to achieve this month.
1. Be at least 80% done with my dissertation.
I’m 110% done already of course, but it’s taken me less time to type this so far than it has to write 3 words today, so that obviously needs to change. I want to get it written to a stage where all I have to do is proofread and edit. Seriously, I cannot wait for this MA to be over. No more loneliness and essay writing please. Which leads me to:
2. Eat healthily.
Depression and anxiety have been kicking my ass this year. I have literally just sat in my room and drank gin, so obviously I’ve gone up 2 dress sizes. Throughout my 5 years of uni, I’ve gone from a size 16 to a size 22. THIS NEEDS TO STOP. No more comfort eating for me. So…
3. Log my food and drink on MyFitnessPal every day.
I have seriously fallen off the MFP bandwagon, mainly because I felt massively guilty over my binge eating. When I did it religiously in freshers, I lost 2 stone, so I need to do it again. Hopefully it won’t be too damaging to my MH…
4. Be more active on Twitter again.
Otherwise my blogging social life will look like this soon. I have literally had no energy to tweet that much lately, let alone join the chats! I’m sorry guys. Must try harder.
Writing is my ultimate coping strategy, whether it’s fic or poetry, and I know I’ll need to write something other than translation commentary this month! I’ve also re-purposed a notebook as a freewriting journal, so I’m looking forward to doing that daily!
