Song for the day: Rhiannon by Fleetwood Mac

Because it’s a classic and in the spirit of this post.

Hello! *waves*

It’s been a while (does anyone else read that in Anna Faris’ voice à la Scary Movie? No? Ok.) but I am slowly easing myself back into blogging now that the initial shock of `oh God I’m not a student anymore I’m an actual ADULT WHAT` has passed along with my first rejection email. I joined the #thegirlgang chat last night for the first time since I started my diss waaaaay back in May and it was so nice to chat to everyone again!

I’m working on my mental health and I have a haircut lined up (or I will do as soon as I’ve plucked up the courage to phone the salon). If I find out at Slimming World tonight that I’ve lost 4lbs, that means I’ve lost a stone in 3 weeks. I am determined to start adulthood by actually being happy. However, if I haven’t lost 4lbs then I will be so pissed off at myself and you can expect a massive rant at myself on twitter tonight. Ha.

ANYWAY, it is a truth universally acknowledged that 2016 has been thoroughly shit, especially for our musical idols – David Bowie, Prince, Lemmy etc. My dad likes to brag about all the said idols that he has seen or somehow tripped over or played roadie for, and after the 152nd time that he went on about being at Queen’s last UK concert, I decided that enough was enough, and that he will be taking me to see The Big Names before they Kick The Bucket.

Hence my `Kick-The-Bucket` List. Here are all the Big Names that I want to see before they stop touring or are sacrificed by 2016:

  • Bon Jovi
  • Fleetwood Mac
  • Frankie Valli
  • Guns’n’Roses
  • Bruce Springsteen
  • Elton John
  • George Michael
  • Paul McCartney
  • Kiss
  • Def Leppard
  • Stevie Wonder
  • Blondie
  • Madonna
  • Boy George
  • Black Sabbath
  • Tom Jones
  • Aerosmith
  • The Cure
  • Paul Simon
  • Status Quo
  • Iron Maiden
  • The Rolling Stones
  • Bryan Adams

This list will probably be added to quite a bit. I’m already planning on ticking Elton John off the list next year – he’s playing my city so my parents bought the tickets. I will be there crying at Your Song and staring at a pouty picture of Ewan McGregor. Man, I love lists.

Have you got a musical bucket list? Have you got suggestions for my list?

Hope you’re all ok out there!
